Hello folks! Happy 2014 to you all.  No resolutions (those are so temporary) for me but I do have a few goals in mind to continue that I started in 2013 and so forth.  I have been hit with a lot of roadblocks this year but I have already started the process of tearing them down so these are what habits I would like to keep up throughout the year.

Personality:

  • Start destressing again. I started this last year but it became sporadic and my stress levels went back up again. It's time I get back on it reguarly.
  • Continue to strengthen my faith and relationship with the Lord.  I started going back to church more regularly this past year and I want to start attending bible study more often as well.  Time to take down these giants in my life.
  • Continue to put my best foot forward when it comes to others. I've been doing so well with this, I just need to get to a place where I can overlook unappreciation of those who don't necessarily matter.

Monetary:

  • Finish up my student loans repayment program (few more months to go you guys!)
  • Start a travel fund
  • Switch occupations (time for something I can continue to grow in)
  • Work on bettering my credit (I'm trying to own a home soon)

Home & Hobby:
  • Maximize my dwelling space. I plan to stay for a little longer until the next step.
  • Read every week (not just blogs), more books and articles.
  • BLOG BLOG BLOG!
  • Get back to me being in the community.  Ever since I started working two jobs it's been all work and no play.  Well it's time for change! You will be seeing more posts of me getting out and shining light on local events again.
  • Work on my fashion by thrifting more.

I spent my first day in 2014 getting off work this morning and spending it with my mom and my love.  I really needed this day of good food and relaxation.  How did your new year start folks?

Saturday Love: Easing the Pain of Tragedies

[Source: http://jucumchiclayoperu.org/]

It's been an intense week. The news has been packed with so many tragedies and the internet filled with conspiracy theories. Think of the people who have been affected by this, directly or indirectly; plus on top of that we all are dealing with daily life and our responsibilities, It's good to cherish the moments that we have with loved ones and create new ones with them or complete strangers.

Aim to give someone a good word or some positive inspiration today. You will definitely feel better.  Have a great weekend folks.

Juggling + Links

Hello there! Just dropping a nice inspirational quote on you all from a great man named Jim Rohn. I have been working on graphics and more ideas to help this blog flourish.  I love being creative but this is quite a process.  Between this site, my relationship, work, BFP, and my off time, I have a lot of juggling to do.  I have been planting seeds(figuratively and literally) and networking like crazy.  This past weekend was much needed and I got some serious relaxation and ended up leaving with some goodies [thanks Chris and Maddie, if you're reading this]!  I am getting much better sleep now.

Off to make more progress on my 25 before 26 list. ----->>

Enjoy your day folks! Here are some links to add some pep to your day:

Saturday Love: Being Grateful

These are a few things that I am grateful for on the daily.  The month has already started and even with the usual stresses of the job and such, March has been good to me so far.  I am appreciating things that I receive in mind, body, and spirit.  I show gratitude towards those who put forth effort in all they do and encourage the ones who don't.  I keep a positive mindset and take heed to my friends as well as my mom's advice to not sweat the small stuff.  I keep my affirmations going and continue to serve as an example for others.

Take time to think about who and what has impacted on your life today and give thanks for the lesson in it or them.  Let it all sink in.

Have a blissful Saturday!

Hello March!

Hello loves! How was your February?  I pray that it was good to you. Now is the time to make March your month!  I plan of knocking out some of my 25 before 26 and working on my meditation techniques and yoga along with unlocking my feminine energy. It's going to be a very personal month and what better way to end it with my close friends, the BFP guys out of town for a weekend retreat. What are your plans for the month?
